AB.RC-0004 is used to cool RCP seals following a concurrent loss of seal injection and thermal barrier CCW when RCP Seal Inlet Temperatures are NOT ALL less than 225 °F. IAW AB.RCP-0001 Attachment 2 Step 5.0, if any RCP Seal Inlet Temperature is ≥ 225 °F, the crew performs AB.RC-0004 for seal cooling via natural circulation. If ALL RCP Seal Inlet Temperatures ARE less than 225 °F, the crew performs AB.RCP-0001 Attachment 4 (Re-establishing RCP Seal Cooling) instead.
