Step 4.1.2: Shift turnover SHALL NOT be conducted during evolutions that may interfere with or distract operators, such as approach to criticality and closing of the first generator output breaker during synchronization. A diesel surveillance (running unloaded), SG level control in manual after sync, and a 10% per hour power ascension do NOT prohibit shift turnover.

RO pre/post-shift relief actions (steps 4.8.3-4.8.4): PRIOR to relief, read the Control Room logs through the last previous date on shift or the preceding four (4) days logs, whichever is less. Tour the main control board back panels is also required PRIOR to relief (not after). POST relief, confer with the CRS to determine the scope of planned shift activities and responsibilities. Back panel tour is BEFORE relief, not after. Log review period is 4 days, not 7.
