Purpose
Provides direction for recording control room logs during Modes 1-4, including channel checks for rod position indication, IRPI, and plant computer comparisons.

For Control Rod Counter channel checks, either the Group Demand Counter or Plant Computer will satisfy the surveillance for Group 1 only. Only the Group 1 Demand Steps input into the Plant Computer. TS 3.1.3.2.1.b bases states: "either the control console group 1 demand step counter or the plant computer 'bank step' display is sufficient to comply with this specification for group 1 rod position."

Control room log 1830 readings: Tavg Channel Check for all 4 RC loops (must be within 3 degrees F, S/R 4.3.2.1.1 Modes 1-3) and OTDT setpoint check per REM FIGURE 5 (A-D). 2CC1 console OTDT readings compared against REM setpoint band. Loop 24 OTDT setpoint of 72 deg F is outside the REM FIGURE 5D setpoint band — record UNSAT or red-circle and notify CRS.
